Adjusting Parallax During Playback

When playing back 3D images of scenes where there are multiple objects arrayed in a line from near to far, or objects that are extremely close to the camera, you can change the way they appear to the eye.

Parallax can only be adjusted when 3D images are displayed on the unit’s LCD monitor.

Tap Parallax .

Tap “MANUAL”.

The parallax adjustment screen appears.

To set parallax adjustment to auto (default), tap “AUTO”.

Adjust the parallax.

To increase the amount of correction, tap “+”. Doing so increases the value of the parallax display.

To reduce the amount of correction, tap “-”. Doing so decreases the value of the parallax display.

Tap “SET” to confirm.

Caution

  • Too much parallax may cause the 3D effect to be lost.
  • If you see double images even after parallax adjustment, set the display on the TV to 2D immediately. In addition, set the LCD monitor to 2D display accordingly.

Memo

  • While this unit is equipped with the function to adjust parallax automatically, it may not work properly for the following subjects.
    - Subjects beyond the recommended shooting distance (especially subjects that are extremely close to the camera)
    - Numerous subjects of the similar shape arrayed in a line, such as the windows of a building
    - Straight subjects such as electric wires
    In these cases, adjust the parallax manually.
  • When the power of this unit is turned off or the mode is switched to recording after parallax is manually adjusted, the “PARALLAX ADJUSTMENT” setting returns to “AUTO”.
