About the JVC Headphones App

The app will be explained using the English version of the app screen.

Downloading the Earphone App

By installing the dedicated app (free), you can check the status of the headphones and make changes to various settings.

Download the app from the App Store for iPhone or Google Play for Android™.

NOTE

The supported OS versions are iOS 14 to 18 and Android 8 to 16.

The display may vary depending on the app version and your smartphone.

Open the app while connected to the Internet.

We recommend using the app in a Wi-Fi or high-speed data communication environment.

Refer to App Compatible Model ＞＞ for the compatible models.

Connecting to the App

  1. Pair the headphones and your smartphone.

    2. Refer to “Pairing (Registering a device)” in the “User manual” for each model.

  2. Open the app and select your headphones on the model selection screen.

    3. If you are using the iOS version, turn on only the headphones you are using.

    The following message may appear when you open the app. Select “OK” or “Allow” when using the app.

    The displayed content may vary depending on your smartphone and OS version.

NOTE

Tap the Update button at the top left of the “model selection screen” in the app.

If the headphones are not displayed or the main screen is not displayed, operate as follows.

For wireless earphones

  1. Close the app.

  2. Insert the headphones to the charging case and wait about 30 seconds.

  3. Remove L (left) and R (right) from the charging case and connect them to your smartphone.

  4. Open the app and select the headphones.

For wireless headphones

  1. Close the app.

  2. Turn off the headphones, and wait for 30 seconds.

  3. Turn on the headphones, and connect to your smartphone.

  4. Open the app and select the headphones.

  1. Update button

    2. Pressing the Update button begins a new search for nearby earphones.

  2. Find My Earphones

    3. A “Find My Earphones” feature is available in the menu (*Only supported in the iOS app).

    For earphones that have been connected to the JVC Headphones app before, you can check the last location where they were connected to the smartphone on the map app.

Main Screen

The contents displayed differ depending on the model.

Status Display

  1. Model Name / Firmware Version

    2. Displays the model name and the firmware version of the headphones.

  2. Product Color Change

    3. If the product has multiple colors, tap to change the color of the image.

  3. Battery Level

    4. Displays the remaining battery power.

    The battery level of the charging case is displayed based on the value at the time the earphones are removed from the charging case.

    The displayed value is only an approximate indication of the actual remaining battery level. Please use it as a rough estimate.

  4. View instruction manual

    5. Tap to view the “User manual”. Click here for the detailed instructions on how to use the headphones.

  5. Update firmware

    6. Refer to Main Unit Firmware Update ＞＞.

  6. Codec

    7. Displays the codec during music playback.

    The playback codec is displayed in orange.

    The bit rate and sampling rate are displayed for some models.

Volume Setting

You can adjust the volume during music playback, volume of voice during phone call, and volume of music during Touch & Talk.

Various Settings

You can make changes to the various settings.

For details on “Suppress indicator” and “Suppress prompt”, refer to the “User manual” of each model.

Some models allow the settings for NC (Noise Cancellation)/Ambient Sound and control key switching to be altered.

Some models allow the ANC mode (Ambient Sound) settings and On/Off settings of the Earplug Mode to be altered.

For some models, you can change volume settings for the voice guidance and notification sounds, On/Off settings of the wear sensor, settings for disabling the operation buttons, and setting for enabling Play Sound on Earphones.

Sound Settings

On some models, you can switch the Personalized Sound setting to on or off, perform Personalized Measurement, and configure Spatial Audio settings.

Some models allow the settings for switching the control key of the sound mode to be altered.

Tapping the “CUSTOM 1” ~ “CUSTOM 3” settings button displays the setting screen for the customized equalizer.

Some of the sound modes and CUSTOM may not be supported on some models.

Managing Connected Devices

You can switch between connected devices.

Main Unit Firmware Update

If there is new firmware update available for your headphones, the update button is displayed in orange.

For the update history of the main unit firmware, refer to “Others” in the “User manual” of each model.

CAUTION

The update may take up to 30 minutes.

Make sure your smartphone is connected to a power source.

Be sure to observe the following precautions during the update.

Do not press the home button or return to the home screen.

Do not close the app.

Do not start or switch to other applications.

Do not turn off the headphones and your smartphone.

  1. Tap the Update firmware button and follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware.

NOTE

Updating wireless headphones

If the update fails or is interrupted, the headphones may not work properly. Perform the steps below to update again.

  1. Open the app and run the update.

If the update fails multiple time, perform the steps below to update again.

  1. Initialize the headphones.

    2. For instructions on how to initialize, refer to the Web Manual for each model.

  2. Delete the app from your smartphone, and install the app again.
