About the JVC Headphones App
The app will be explained using the English version of the app screen.
Downloading the Earphone App
By installing the dedicated app (free), you can check the status of the headphones and make changes to various settings.
Download the app from the App Store for iPhone or Google Play for Android™.
NOTE
The supported OS versions are iOS 14 to 17 and Android 8 to 14.
The display may vary depending on the app version and your smartphone.
Open the app while connected to the Internet.
We recommend using the app in a Wi-Fi or high-speed data communication environment.
Refer to App Compatible Model >> for the compatible models.
Selection Screen

Pair the headphones and your smartphone.

Open the app and select your headphones on the model selection screen.
Refer to “Pairing (Registering a device)” in the “User manual” for each model.
If you are using the iOS version, turn on only the headphones you are using.
The following message may appear when you open the app. Select “OK” or “Allow” when using the app.

NOTE
If the headphones are not displayed or the main screen is not displayed, operate as follows.
For wireless earphones

Close the app.

Insert the headphones to the charging case and wait about 30 seconds.

Remove L (left) and R (right) from the charging case and connect them to your smartphone.

Open the app and select the headphones.
For wireless headphones

Close the app.
-
Turn off the headphones, and wait for 30 seconds.

Turn on the headphones, and connect to your smartphone.

Open the app and select the headphones.

Displays the model name and the firmware version of the headphones.
If the product has multiple colors, tap to change the color of the image.
Displays the remaining battery power.
Tap to view the “User manual”. Click here for the detailed instructions on how to use the headphones.
Refer to Main Unit Firmware Update >>.
Displays the codec, quantization bit rate and sampling rate during music playback.
The playback codec is displayed in orange.
Volume Setting
You can adjust the volume during music playback, volume of voice during phone call, and volume of music during Touch & Talk.

Various Settings
You can make changes to the various settings.
For details on “Suppress indicator” and “Suppress prompt”, refer to the “User manual” of each model.

Sound mode
You can switch the sound mode and configure the customized equalizer settings.
Some models allow the settings for switching the control key of the sound mode to be altered.
Tapping the “CUSTOM 1” ~ “CUSTOM 3” settings button displays the setting screen for the customized equalizer.
Some of the sound modes and CUSTOM may not be supported on some models.

Touch Key Settings
You can change the operation allocation of each function.

Other Settings
For submitting image information to JVCKENWOOD Corporation.
If you not submitting, turn it off.
Main Unit Firmware Update
If there is new firmware update available for your headphones, the update button is displayed in orange.
For the update history of the main unit firmware, refer to “Others” in the “User manual” of each model.
CAUTION
The update may take up to 30 minutes.
Make sure your smartphone is connected to a power source.
Be sure to observe the following precautions during the update.
Do not press the home button or return to the home screen.
Do not close the app.
Do not start or switch to other applications.
Do not turn off the headphones and your smartphone.

Tap the Update firmware button and follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware.
NOTE
Updating wireless earphones
If the update fails or is interrupted, the headphones may not work properly. Perform the steps below to update again.

Close the app.

Insert the headphones to the charging case and wait about 30 seconds.

Operate your smartphone to delete the connection information of the headphones.

Remove R (right) from the charging case and wait for the indicator to flash quickly repeatedly.

Insert R into the charging case.
-
Remove L (left) from the charging case and wait for the indicator to flash quickly repeatedly.

Insert L into the charging case.
-
Remove L from the charging case and wait for the indicator to flash quickly repeatedly.

Pair and connect to your smartphone.

Remove R.

Insert L into the charging case.

Insert R into the charging case.

Remove L from the charging case and connect it to your smartphone. Then remove R from the charging case.

Open the app and run the update.
Updating wireless headphones
If the update fails or is interrupted, the headphones may not work properly. Perform the steps below to update again.

Open the app and run the update.
If the update fails multiple time, perform the steps below to update again.

Initialize the headphones.

Delete the app from your smartphone, and install the app again.
For instructions on how to initialize, refer to the Web Manual for each model.
