Preparing a BD Writer

Caution

You cannot create a disc if the remaining battery power is not enough. Charge this unit fully beforehand.

Do not use the AC adapter provided with this unit.

Use either BD-R or BD-RE. DVD and dual-layer discs (DL) cannot be used.

Memo

Please prepare a USB cable that is suitable for your product.
*To purchase, consult your nearest JVC service center.

Open the terminal cover.

Connect the USB cable and the AC adapter of the BD writer.

Before making any connection, close the LCD monitor to turn off this unit.

C5B BD Writer

Connect the USB cable of the BD writer (external Blu-ray drive).

The USB cable provided with this unit cannot be used.

Take note of the cable direction (A/B).

Connect the USB cable provided with the BD writer to the BD writer using the end with the “B” marking.
Attach the USB cable to an optional USB conversion cable, then connect to this unit.
Plug the AC adapter of the BD writer into the power outlet.
Connect the other end of the AC adapter to the BD writer.

The BD writer turns on.

Open the LCD monitor.

This unit turns on and the “BACK-UP” menu appears.

While the USB cable is connected, the “BACK-UP” menu is displayed.

Insert a new disc.

DVDセット（BD）
Press the eject button to open the disc tray.
Load a new disc properly.
Press the eject button to close the disc tray.

Caution

Be sure to turn off the power when connecting the devices.
Otherwise, electric shocks or malfunctions may occur.

Do not connect the AC adapter provided with this unit to the BD writer.

Do not connect the AC adapter provided with the BD writer to this unit.
