Zoom Operation 
Zooming can be operated using any of the three levers/rings below.
Zoom Lever at the Grip

Zoom ring on the commercially available lens
During the zoom operation, the zoom bar or number will appear on the upper right corner of the screen.
Caution
Depending on the zoom speed, the zoom drive noise of the power zoom may be recorded.
Using the Zoom Lever at the Grip
Press the zoom lever to zoom.
The zoom speed changes according to the extent the zoom lever is being pushed.
Zooms into wide angle and increases the angle of view when “W” is pressed.
Zooms into telephoto and decreases the angle of view when “T” is pressed.
Memo
The zoom lever at the grip functions with the power zoom lens. However, if the lens is set to manual and depending on the lens used, the zoom lever at the grip may not function.
When using a lens without focus ring, set [Main Menu] 
[Camera Function] [Grip Zoom] to “Focus” to enable focusing (in place of the zoom operation) using the zoom lever at the grip.
Using the Zoom Lever at the Handle
Set the zoom speed individually in [Main Menu] [Camera Function] [Handle Zoom Speed L]/[Handle Zoom Speed M]/[Handle Zoom Speed H].
[Camera Function] [Handle Zoom Speed L]/[Handle Zoom Speed M]/[Handle Zoom Speed H].Set the zoom speed for “L”, “M” and “H” of the [ZOOM L/M/H] zoom speed switch individually.
Increasing the value increases the zoom speed.
Memo
The zoom lever at the handle is disabled when “Off” is selected.
The zoom lever at the handle functions with the power zoom lens. However, if the lens is set to manual and depending on the lens used, the zoom lever at the handle may not function.
Set the [ZOOM L/M/H] zoom speed switch to any of the settings.
Press the zoom lever at the handle to zoom.
The zoom operation is performed in the speed that has been set.
Using Zoom Ring on the Commercially Available Lens
You can adjust the preferred angle of view by turning the zoom ring.
Saving/Recalling Current Zoom Position (Preset Zoom)
This allows you to register up to three zoom positions.
Assign the “Preset Zoom1”, “Preset Zoom2”, or “Preset Zoom3” function to any of the user buttons.
Save the current zoom position.
Press any of the user buttons assigned with the “Preset Zoom1”, “Preset Zoom2”, or “Preset Zoom3” function for more than 1 second.
The current zoom position will be stored.
Recall the stored zoom position.
Press any of the user buttons assigned with the “Preset Zoom1”, “Preset Zoom2”, or “Preset Zoom3” function and release within 1 second.
The camera recorder zooms to the stored zoom position.
Memo
The zoom speed to the zoom position can be set in [Main Menu] [Camera Function] [User Switch Set] [Preset Zoom Speed].
Operating other zoom maneuvers during a zoom position recall will cancel the recall.
Depending on the lens used, the zoom position that was recalled may be different from the position stored.
