Preparing a BD Writer (External Blu-ray Drive)
Caution
You cannot create a disc if the remaining battery power is not enough. Charge this unit fully beforehand.
Do not use the AC adapter provided with this unit.
Memo
When connecting this unit to the BD writer (external Blu-ray drive), purchase the following USB conversion cable (optional).

To use the USB cable provided with the BD writer (external Blu-ray drive), purchase the following USB conversion cable.
(Part number: QAM0852-001) * Mini-A (Male) – A (Female)
*Consult your nearest service center.
Open the terminal cover.
Connect the USB cable and the AC adapter of the BD writer.
Before making any connection, close the LCD monitor to turn off this unit.
Connect the USB cable of the BD writer (external Blu-ray drive).
The USB cable provided with this unit cannot be used.
Take note of the cable direction (A/B).
The BD writer turns on.
Refer also to the instruction manual of the BD writer (external Blu-ray drive). For details on the connection, please refer to the above.
Open the LCD monitor.
This unit turns on and the “BACK-UP” menu appears.
While the USB cable is connected, the “BACK-UP” menu is displayed.
Insert a new disc.
Caution
Be sure to turn off the power when connecting the devices.
Otherwise, electric shocks or malfunctions may occur.
Do not connect the AC adapter provided with this unit to the BD writer.
