For configuring settings related to the recording mode.
Go to Record Set Menu .
Deletes all files on the SD card.
Caution
Not available for selection when no SD card is inserted.
All data on the SD card will be deleted when it is formatted.
Copy all files on the SD card to a computer before formatting.
Make sure that the battery pack is fully charged or connect the AC adapter as the formatting process may take some time.
If, for some reason, no image is displayed on the index screen (thumbnail display) in the playback mode even though video images are stored in the SD card, performing SD card recovery may display the images.
Caution
Not available for selection when no SD card is inserted or during recording.

Displays the QR code to access the Mobile User Guide.
Memo
To read the QR code, a relevant application is required. Enter the URL in the internet browser manually if the QR code cannot be read.
The Mobile User Guide is supported by Android devices and iPhone. It can also be viewed on standard browsers such as Google Chrome (Android) and Mobile Safari (iPhone).

Caution
This item cannot be selected during recording.
The Silent mode is a function for turning off the operation sound. The screen can also be dimmed depending on the setting. Use this mode to record quietly in events such as recitals, presentations etc.

This function is used to lock the touch screen to prevent accidental operation when shooting under water.
Caution
Screen Lock cannot be selected in the following cases.

When “Rec Mode” is set to “Time-Lapse Rec”
When connected to Wi-Fi
During recording or while the camera is connected to Wi-Fi, closing the LCD monitor does not turn off the power of the camera. (The power turns off when Wi-Fi is disconnected.)

Memo
When “On” is selected, power continues to be consumed for about 5 minutes after closing the LCD monitor.
To minimize power consumption, select “Off”.
When “On” is selected, it is also possible to reduce power consumption by pressing and holding the “P.OFF” button in “MENU” to turn off the power.
Caution
This item cannot be selected during recording.
When no operation is made for 5 minutes, this function turns off this unit or sets this unit to standby mode when using the AC adapter in case you forgot to turn off the power.
