Live Streaming

This is a function for distributing camera images to servers via the network.

By combining the camera with a decoder or PC application that supports live streaming, audio and video streaming can be performed via the network.

Memo

A distribution protocol can be selected from MPEG2-TS/UDP, MPEG2-TS/RTP, RTSP/RTP and RTMP.

Memo

The following restrictions are applicable depending on the settings of “MENU”“MENU” RIGHT “System”“MENU” RIGHT “Network”/“Settings”“MENU” RIGHT “Live Streaming Set”“MENU” RIGHT “Streaming Server”“MENU” RIGHT “Server *”“MENU” RIGHT “Type”.
(“Server *” is the name configured for the destination server.)

An encoding bit rate exceeding 8 Mbps cannot be selected when the transmission mode is configured to MPEG2-TS/RTP or RTSP/RTP, and a bit rate exceeding 5 Mbps cannot be selected in the RTMP mode.

Depending on the type of network adapter used and the connection, images and audio sound during live streaming may be choppy.

Distribution Settings

Configure “Record Format” according to the resolution and frame rate of the video to be distributed.

Configure the settings in “MENU” RIGHT “System”“MENU” RIGHT “Record Set”“MENU” RIGHT “Record Format”.

Configure the resolution and frame rate/image quality of the video to be distributed.

Configure the settings in “MENU” RIGHT “System” RIGHT “Network”/“Settings” RIGHT “Live Streaming Set”.

Specify the distribution protocol and related items.

Configure the distribution protocol and related settings in “MENU” RIGHT “System” RIGHT “Network”/“Settings” RIGHT “Live Streaming Set” RIGHT “Streaming Server”.

Select the server for live streaming.

Select the distribution server in “MENU” RIGHT “System” RIGHT “Network”/“Settings” RIGHT “Live Streaming Set” RIGHT “Server”.

Memo

Live streaming does not function when “MENU” RIGHT “System” RIGHT “Record Set” RIGHT “Record Format” RIGHT “System” is set to “4K” or “High-Speed”.

Live streaming operation cannot be performed during recording.
To record while performing live streaming, stop the recording once, start the live streaming operation, followed by starting the recording again.

Starting Distribution

Perform the necessary setting for the decoder and PC application.

For more details on the settings, please refer to the instruction manual of the respective devices and applications.

Memo

If there are devices such as an NAT router within the communication path between the camera and the decoder, port forwarding setup is required. For more details on the settings, please refer to the instruction manual of the router in use.

The following setting values are required when connecting to this camera using RTSP/RTP.
Port number: 554
Stream ID: stream

Use the following to access via URL.
Rtsp://<IP address of the camera>:554/stream

Connect the camera to the network via Wi-Fi.

Set “Live Streaming” to “On”.

Set “MENU” RIGHT “System” RIGHT “Network”/“Settings” RIGHT “Live Streaming Set” RIGHT “Live Streaming” to “On”.

The network connection mark appears on the LCD monitor screen when a network connection is established.
