Using the Focus Assist Function
This function switches the display temporarily to black-and-white and displays the outline of the parts of the image that are in focus in color.
Adjust the focus until the part to set focus on is displayed in color.
The color of the outline (multiple colors, red, green or blue) can be configured in the menu.
Tap “MENU”.
Select “Monitor” with 
or 
, followed by tapping “SET”.
Select “Shooting Assist” with or , followed by tapping “SET”.
Select “Focus Assist” with or , followed by tapping “SET”.
Select “On” with or , followed by tapping “SET”.
Select “Color” with or , followed by tapping “SET”.
Select the color of the outline with or , followed by tapping “SET”.
Memo
When Focus Assist is used in a dimly-lit area, it may be difficult to identify the colored outline of areas that are grainy.
Regardless of the “Display On TV” setting in “Video Set”, Focus Assist effects cannot be output for display on a TV monitor.
